Bailey, Wooten, and Patitucci Host Webinar with Cirque Du Soleil Musicians

Berklee Bass Seminar: Cirque Du Soleil Musicians

This week’s free webinar from the Berklee Bass Department with Steve Bailey, Victor Wooten, and John Patitucci will be covering a different type of gig. The trio will be hosting bassists that have performed for Cirque Du Soleil. Guests will include bassists Bobby Brennan, Teresa Morini, Dan Immeli, Derek Jones, Nate Lerohl, and Paul Shihadeh, as well as drummer Kit Chatham.

“If you have ever been to a Cirque production it is impossible to walk away without being in awe of the precision, versatility, and creativity, of the dancers, acrobats, contortionists, etc…” Bailey writes. “And this applies to every musician who works at every one of many shows running simultaneously, around the world. There are so many things going on behind the scenes, in pre-production, recording, as well as the live, in-the-moment show. These veterans of many of those shows will share how they got the gig, and how they keep the gig.”

The webinar will be held via Zoom on March 25th at 1 pm Eastern. It is free and open to the public, but you must register ahead of time via Berklee’s Zoom page.
