KC Meets NY with Craig Akin: Watermelon Man
Craig Akin is making the most of this continued quarantine time with a project he calls “KC Meets NY”.
Akin teamed up with Brandon Draper on drums and Sean Nowell on EMEO to record a fantastic cover of Herbie Hancock’s “Watermelon Man”.
The musicians recorded each part from home, starting with the bass, then drums, then the EMEO.
I really dig Akin’s solo on this one.
