Primus Announces Rescheduled Rush Tribute Tour Dates
Primus has once again announced dates for their “A Tribute To Kings” tour, which will feature Les Claypool and the band performing Rush’s A Farewell to Kings in its entirety. The trek has been rescheduled several times, but Claypool says this time looks promising.
“Finally, the clouds are parting, the planets are aligning, the dough is rising…whatever metaphor floats your preverbal boat, PRIMUS is going on tour again,” the bassist writes. “We were poised and ready for a massive, bent-rock extravaganza when the gremlins of covid came and yanked the rug out from under us all. I personally have been climbing the walls like a shit-house rat and, after my first season off in 30 some odd years, I’m very anxious and excited to stand in front of the microphone with my four string piece of furniture and belt out some girthy ditties to sweaty throngs of punters.”
Primus will be joined by Wolfmother for the entire tour with The Sword opening for select dates. Together, they’ll kick things off in Boise, Idaho on August 10th and cover the Pacific Northwest before jumping to the East coast and snaking across the country. The final date is slated for October 13th in Salt Lake City, Utah.
