Michael Jackson: Man In The Mirror (Greg Phillinganes’s Isolated Synth Bass Track)

You asked for more Synth Bass, and we delivered. In today’s clip, we go back and check out the classic from Michael Jackson, “Man In The Mirror”. Legendary keyboardist Greg Phillinganes handles bass duties on this tune. Greg is an absolute monster on synth bass!

This should definitely be in your toolbox of Synth Basslines. MJ’s entire discography is a CLINIC on solid, funky Synth Bass. Trust me, you WILL be singing along with this one.

I heard live music is coming back, so I encourage you all to play along and help get your chops up to speed. I know I will!

  1. I love this. I love Mike and this synth bass player. He showed the world how to use the synth bass in a cool calm way but have that rock industrial tone. I really love this isolation audio thank u. I made my day to hear it. I’m dying to get back on the road and tour again. This time off, I’ve improved in so many ways and found the right people.one of the only reasons I want to be super successful is so I can work with people like this guy playing the synth bass.
