Bergantino Unveils the B|Amp Mk2

Bergantino Audio Systems

Six years after its initial release, Bergantino Amplification has updated the B|Amp with a new version. The B|Amp Mk2 takes the original’s flexibility and adds to it.

“With the launch of B|Amp Mk2, the updated model gives the modern bassist even more tools for their sonic armory,” the company writes. “Time never stands still, so founder and head engineer Jim Bergantino has taken all the goodness from the original B|Amp design and brought it forward, not only updating its look with a gorgeous new OLED screen, but also adding new and powerful features in the process; such as serial and parallel compressor options and a clean blend for the drive effects. Much of the updates have been based on players’ feedback and suggestions.”

The B|Amp Mk2 is power rated up to 800 watts and has plenty of tonal tweakability. Its four-band multifunction EQ lets you adjust the frequency and Q of each band. There are several programmable filters (Bright Switch, Variable High-Pass Filter, Variable Low-Pass Filter, and Variable Feedback), as well as three Big Fat Tube (BFT) drive circuits. Other features include a built-in chromatic tuner, user-programmable memory settings, aux in and headphone jacks, an effects loop, a DI, a USB port, and more.

The Bergantino B|Amp Mk2 is shipping now in the U.S. for $1,199.
