ARP Odyssey vs. Minimoog: Funk Bass Face-Off

The ARP Odyssey and Minimoog are legendary tools for synth bass. Legends like Herbie Hancock and the late, great Bernie Worrell used these synths for those phat, funky basslines we all know and love.

In this video, we hear a nice comparison between the two, and from the first few notes, we can hear what makes each synth special. While I love the “squelch” from the ARP, I love the way the Minimoog is sitting right there in the mix. They are neck and neck!!
