Ariane Cap is Giving Away 25 Copies of “The Pattern System for the Bass Player”
Ariane Cap is giving away 25 free copies of her book The Pattern System for the Bass Player to 25 dedicated and deserving bass players. The method includes 111 teaching videos and an in-depth academic study guide.
Originally published through an Indiegogo campaign, the giveaway was born from fans of the book. “One of Cap’s students enjoyed the program so much that he started the ball rolling by paying for a book and program for another student,” a press release explains. “Several ‘sponsors’ followed suit and now 25 friends have purchased the book and program for 25 lucky soon-to-be recipients.”
The ideal candidate for the book is someone who is dedicated yet can’t afford the book right now. They should have some basic music theory knowledge like intervals, key signatures, and scales. All backgrounds, ages, and abilities starting at intermediate are welcome to participate, Cap says.
To enter, participants must upload a three-minute video to YouTube and email it to [email protected]. The first minute of the video is for you to share your bass story and why you should receive the book. The next two minutes are for you to jam along with a track to demonstrate your ability. Recipients will be chosen by committee.
