TC Electronic Unveils the Infinite Sample Sustainer Pedal
TC Electronic has introduced a new pedal to their lineup called the Infinite Sample Sustainer. As the name implies, the new circuit captures a sample of your sound and sustains it.
“If Ditto Looper is like the camera on your phone where you can loop a video sequence, INFINITE is like the Polaroid for sound, allowing you to build amazing soundscapes and captivating moods whenever and wherever between now and forever,” the company writes. “Instant sound snapshots so to speak!”
You sample your sound using the footswitch, which can be set to latching or momentary. The Infinite has integrated reverb and modulation as well as a built-in effects loop for adding external sounds to your palette. Infinite mode lets you add and sustain as many layers as you like to build up your sonic atmosphere.
Its four controls dial in the Decay, Level, Fade In, and Effects type. Other features include 3 TonePrint slots for the company’s proprietary presets and an analog-dry-thru signal path.
Although it’s demonstrated on guitar, you can check out the Infinite’s features in the TC Electronic product video:
The TC Electronic Infinite Sample Sustainer will be shipping soon for $149.
