John McLaughlin, Chick Corea, and Victor Wooten: You Know, You Know
John McLaughlin celebrated his 80th birthday earlier this month. Victor Wooten shared this video on Facebook around that time, saying “It was a joy being a part of this. Happy Birthday Mr. McLaughlin.”
I had no idea this lineup happened, but this one is a joy. McLaughlin is joined by Wooten and Chick Corea for a performance of Mahavishnu Orchestra’s “You Know, You Know”.
This took place at the Blue Note in NYC on December 8, 2016.
I love that Wooten doesn’t feel the need to overpower anything with his amazing talents… the sign of a true “musician”. Love it!
