1. Rush: “Limelight” Live Soundcheck (2012)
StickHits remastered a 2012 soundcheck video of Rush in Dallas, and it is a great behind-the-scenes look of the band. Here they are running through “Limelight”.
2. Julia Hofer: Top 5 Bee Gees Bass Lines
Julia Hofer’s “Top 5” videos are super popular around here, and this time she’s focusing on her favorite lines from The Bee Gees and the work of Maurice Gibb.
3. Victor Wooten: How To Be A Better Improviser
Victor Wooten shared this incredible video on Facebook yesterday, saying, “Some Improvising tips to help free your mind.” It is always amazing to hear Vic speak, and his unique approach to music.
4. Norah Jones: Let It Be (Live At The Empire State Building)
Two days shy of the 53rd anniversary of The Beatles’ famed rooftop concert, Norah Jones released videos of her rooftop tribute at the Empire State Building. Here’s the band – with the incredible rhythm section of bassist Gus Seyffert and drummer Brian Blade – performing “Let It Be”.

I’m always happy when Tedeschi Trucks Band drops a new video on their channel. Here’s a great one of their performance of “Bound for Glory” at the Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga, TN in November 2021.

Charles Berthoud never ceases to amaze, and this video takes things to a whole different level. In this clip, Charles plays “Canon Rock”, starting off with a bow on his bass guitar before hitting all the other techniques.

No Treble reader Austin Bolden sent us this great video of his play along and transcription of Joe Dart’s funky bass line on The Fearless Flyers tune, “Patrol Acrobatique”.
8. Juliaplaysgroove: Come Back And Stay
Juliaplaysgroove is changing things up by adding fretless bass to the mix. In this clip, she takes on Pino Palladino’s bass line on Paul Young’s “Come Back And Stay”.

I honestly can’t remember how I stumbled upon this video with Fernando Rosa, but that’s not important. I’m just glad I did. In this clip, Fernando plays an incredible bass solo for guitarist Mello Júnior’s album.
10. Walter Barnes, Jr.: Live Bass Solo
Today, we have a killer video from bassist Walter Barnes, Jr. Walter starts the solo by locking in the groove with the drummer, and then kicks it in overdrive! He even quotes the classic “Sir Duke” with some phat low notes thrown in.
