Steve Lawson: For Rick Turner

We were sad to report on the news of Rick Turner’s passing. Our friend Steve Lawson had a special relationship with Turner, including getting a bass made by the luthier.

Steve recorded this tribute to Turner yesterday.

“The first thing I’ve recorded since the news of Rick’s passing yesterday. I can’t even put into words how much I’ll miss him, so here’s some music on a bass he made. It’s a Rick Turner Renaissance fretless 5, which I’ve had since 1999 and sounds like no other bass on earth,” Steve shared.
