Keep It Groovy: Learn How To Play An Albert Collins Funky Blues

In this lesson, we take a look at a fast, funky blues. This bass line is featured in the Albert Collins tune, “Honey, Hush.” It’s a fantastic approach to playing a funky 12-bar and features a brisk pattern, use of the open strings, and a consistent eighth note approach. It’s a fun groove to add to your arsenal and serves as great inspiration any time you’re called upon to play a fast, funky blues.

Enjoy and keep it groovy!

Fun fact: You can get tab/notation, backing tracks, and plenty more with my new “12 Bar Blues Survival Pack.” Available now at ryanmadora.com.
