Rammstein’s Oliver Riedel Auctioning Basses to Aid Ukraine
Rammstein bassist Oliver Riedel has announced that he is selling off two of his signature Sandberg basses as part of the Gear For Hope music auction. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to aid organizations in Ukraine.
“Oliver’s two basses to be auctioned have been used in countless stage shows around the world for over 13 years,” a Sandberg press release explains. “They have been hand-signed and have a unique value. A certificate prepared by Sandberg Guitars confirms the uniqueness and authenticity.”
Riedel’s signature bass is built with a special aged finish, an ebony fretboard, and Sandberg’s own pickups. The company adds that the instruments being auctioned have the original California body shape, making them even rarer.
The basses are being auctioned via the United Charity website, where they are currently bid at € 3,100 and € 2,500.
