Jackson Guitars Expands X-Series with Spectra Bass SBX IV

Jackson Guitars X-Series Spectra Bass SBX IV

New for 2022, Jackson Guitars has added the Spectra Bass SBX IV to their X-series Basses. The company says the model has a body shape made for gigging musicians.

“The offset Spectra Bass body style was innovatively designed with the gigging musician in mind. Its nyatoh body has a larger upper horn that evenly distributes weight throughout the instrument for perfect balance and playing comfort,” they explain. “The graphite-reinforced through-body maple neck with scarf joint creates formidable sustain, with a speed neck contour, 12?-16? compound radius laurel fingerboard, and 24 jumbo frets for superior playability.”

Other features include a pair of medium-output humbuckers with two-way toggle switches for coil splitting. It has an active/passive preamp with a three-band EQ.

The Jackson X-Series Spectra SBX IV comes in Gloss Black and Matte Army Drab finishes with black hardware. It is available now for $699.99.

It does indeed. And probably made in the same factory no less.
