Snarky Puppy Announces “Empire Central” Tour Dates
Snarky Puppy returned to their roots by recording their forthcoming record, Empire Central, in the studio with an audience. The album will be coming out on September 30th, after which they’ll spend a couple of months touring Europe.
Now the band, anchored by bassist and bandleader Michael League, has unveiled a U.S. leg of the tour. The outing will kick off on March 29, 2023, in St. Paul, Minnesota at the Palace Theatre and cover the Midwest and East Coast through April.
The band has released one video from the Empire Central recording session, and it’s a banger. Mark Lettieri’s “Trinity” features League doubling a melody line with Chris Bullock on the bass clarinet before things pick up.
