Pat Travers Releases “The Art of Time Travel” with David Pastorius

Pat Travers: The Art of Time TravelGuitar icon Pat Travers has just released a new album called The Art of Time Travel, which is a musical throwback to his heyday of the late ‘70s. Lyrically, it deals with more contemporary concepts like “Breaking Up In Lockdown”. His downtime over the last couple of years helped to make it an album he calls one of his best.

“I can make a good album in three weeks, but to make a great one you need a little more time,” he told Thomas Orwait, Jr. on the Rock Interview Series. “We had no shows. It was all done. We were going to be busy in 2020 with one of our best years, then it all just disappeared. Instead of getting depressed and screwed up, I had this thing to focus on.”

Travers is joined on The Art of Time Travel by David Pastorius, who also contributed a beautiful instrumental song to the effort. “Natalie” is named for the bassist’s wife and has Pastorius taking the melody before Travers delivers a gorgeous and soulful solo.

The Art of Time Travel is available now on CD, vinyl, and as a digital download (iTunes and Amazon MP3).

Pat has always been great and is still killing it. David and Alex make a great band as he always has. Great as ever.
