Mane Custom Bass Introduces the KJ5 Standard Bass

Mane Custom Bass KJ5 Standard Bass

We got a sneak peek of the new Mane Custom Bass model at NAMM this year, and now we have the full scoop. The KJ5 Standard is based on their KJ5 Signature model but utilizes different woods to offer a competitive price point without compromising quality.

It’s offered in four- and five-string versions, each with an extended 35-inch scale. Mane fits the KJ5 Standard with a pair of stock single-coil pickups and a custom preamp, though it can be upgraded with Bartolini electronics.

The debut model had a see-through gloss finish in black sunburst, but Mane will also offer the bass in Tobacco Burst, Red Sunburst, and Aqua Blue Burst.

The Mane Custom Bass KJ5 Standard Bass will be shipping in August at $899 for the stock version and $1,149 for the Bartolini upgrades. Pre-orders are open now through the Mane Custom Bass website.
