Fender Unveils Aerodyne Special Basses
Fender has reissued the Aerodyne Special line of guitars and basses, including a Precision and a Jazz model in the lineup. The Japanese-made instruments introduce new colors for the models with Chocolate Burst, Dolphin Gray, and California Blue for the Jazz and Bright White, Hot Rod Burst, and Speed Green Metallic for the Precision.
Both models are built with a basswood body, a bound carved top, a C-shape maple neck, and either a maple or rosewood fingerboard, depending on the finish. Fender fits them with custom-voiced pickups and Babicz Z-Series FCH-4 bridges. Other common features include matching headstocks, a 12-inch fingerboard radius, and chrome knobs.
The Fender Aerodyne Special Jazz Bass and Precision Bass will be available soon for $1,349 each.
