Fender Releases Gold Foil Jazz Bass

Fender has unveiled the Gold Foil Collection, which was inspired by the garage rock bands of the sixties and the instruments they played. The three-piece set includes one bass called the Gold Foil Jazz Bass.
Available in Sonic Blue or 2-Color Sunburst, the bass is crafted with an alder body and a maple neck that sports a mid ‘-60s C-shape profile. Its bound ebony fingerboard holds 20 medium jumbo frets.
The bass’s pickup is its namesake: a Gold Foil single-coil. Fender says it delivers a full, punchy tone. Other features include a matching headstock and lollipop tuners.
While Fender hasn’t made a demo, Empire Music got their hands on one and created a detailed video outlining the bass:
The Fender Gold Foil Jazz Bass carries a street price of $1,299.99.
