IK Multimedia Introduces the TONEX Pedal
IK Multimedia has unveiled the TONEX Pedal, which is a physical unit for bringing their AI Machine Modeling Tone Models to any venue or studio. The included TONEX software lets you capture and model the tone of your own gear and then store it for later use or call up the sound of your dream rig.
“From rare one-of-a-kind vintage amps to modern rigs, TONEX Pedal can store up to 150 Tone Model presets at a time and comes with over 1,000 Premium Tone Models of the included TONEX MAX software that can be installed a-la-carte with its new librarian feature, plus gives access to ToneNET with over 6,000 more user Tone Models, growing daily, free to download and play,” IK Multimedia explains.
The Tone Model presets can include any combination of pedal, amp, or whole-rig models. It also allows for loading impulse responses for miming cabinet and microphone setups. “TONEX presets can also be further edited with an advanced noise gate, analog-modeled EQ and compressor, five stereo reverbs derived from the award-winning AmpliTube X-SPACE pedal, and more,” they add.
The TONEX Pedal’s circuitry includes 24-bit/192 kHz converters for clear sonic transfer. It also has a full range of connectivity with MIDI in and out, a USB audio interface, an expression pedal input, and a headphone output.
The IK Multimedia TONEX Pedal ships with a USB cable, a power supply, and four adhesive rubber feet. It’s available now for $399.99.
