Fender Unveils Troy Sanders Signature Precision Bass

Mastodon’s Troy Sanders has once again teamed up with Fender to create a signature axe. The company describes the new Fender Troy Sanders Precision Bass as the “ultimate weapon for heavy metal enthusiasts.”
Sanders collaborated with Fender on its design, focusing on its pickups and electronics. The pickups are a Tim Shaw-designed P/J configuration matched to a custom-voiced 18-volt preamp. Other features include a HiMass vintage bridge, a maple neck with a ‘70s P-bass neck profile, and a slab rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays.
Sanders put some of his own touches in with his signature decal on the back of the headstock, a Mastodon “Remission” logo on the neck plate, and an “Emperor of Sand” icon inlaid at the 12th fret. Like his Jaguar, the bass has his signature Silverburst finish and a chromed control plate.
Hear more about it from Sanders himself:
The Fender Troy Sanders Precision Bass is available now for $1,499.99.

Just another overpriced, mediocre showing from Fender.
