Tye Tribbett: Tiny Desk Concert

Tye Tribbett visited NPR for a Tiny Desk Concert, but he didn’t bring his tiny band. The gospel legend brought his full rhythm section, backup singers, and horn section to cram into the infamous corner at NPR’s headquarters.

His high-energy performance was matched by his band with an intricate arrangement weaving in and out of songs. Tye’s brother Thaddaeus Tribbett anchors the entire affair with rock-solid bass lines accented by his signature fills.

You don’t have to be religious to feel the spirit in this music!

In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
