Mattoverse Electronics Unveils Solar Sound Desktop Saturator

Mattoverse Electronics Solar Sound Desktop Saturator

Mattoverse Electronics has unveiled a new addition to its solar-powered effects. The Solar Sound Desktop is a transistor-based gain circuit that utilizes a solar panel and picks up where the original Solar Sound left off. The new design is smaller, more affordable, and suited for use as a desktop device instead of on a pedalboard.

“[The Solar Sound Desktop] has been finely tuned to take full advantage of the low current and voltage provided by the solar panel. It’s designed to provide everything from starved and choked gain tones to light overdrive and smooth distortion depending on light level,” they write.

The saturator can be used for distorting bass, guitar, synths, and even drum machines. New features include a clear acrylic top plate with a walnut bottom plate and hardwire true bypass. Its only controls are gain and volume.

The Mattoverse Electronics Solar Sound Desktop has a street price of $79.

Mattoverse Electronics Solar Sound Desktop Saturator Features:

Designed for and works best when powered from a natural light source, through a window or outdoors.
Clear acrylic top plate with a walnut plywood bottom plate.
Hardwire true bypass with controls for voltage (gain) and volume.
Approximate dimensions are 3.5″x2.5″x2.5″
