Bass of the Week: Swan Custom Basses Omicron Brutus “Concept”

This week we’re checking out a beautiful bass that Swan Custom Basses brought to the 2023 NAMM Show. The Swan Omicron Brutus “Concept” has a singlecut body design with a cutout where you’d normally find controls. Its knobs are instead hidden in the top edge of the body.
Swan builds the bass with an ash body topped with flamed bubinga, a 3-piece hard maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard. It has two Lake Triple Agente pickups, each with a three-position switch for its modes: Fat Humbucker, Modern Humbucker, and Single Coil.
Other features include a Hipshot headless system, aluminum position inlays, and a brass nut.
