Thundercat Plots “In Yo Girl’s City” Tour
Thundercat just released his first new music in three years, and now he’s announced a headlining tour for later this year. The “In Yo Girl’s City” Tour will kick off in September following his current tour dates supporting The Red Hot Chili Peppers and a handful of festival dates.
The international tour begins September 28th in Portland, Oregon, and will cover the West Coast before heading east and circling back through the South. The last North American date is scheduled for October 31st in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After that, he’ll go to South America for four shows in Brazil and one in Chile.
His latest release, “No More Lies,” is a collaboration track with Kevin Parker of Tame Impala. “I’ve wanted to work with Kevin since the very first Tame Impala album,” the bassist says. “I feel that I knew that us working together would be special. I’ve been excited about this song for a long time and hope to create more with Kevin in the future.”
