Greta Van Fleet Releases “Starcatcher”

Greta Van Fleet: StarcatcherGreta Van Fleet has released Starcatcher, marking the modern classic rock band’s third studio album. The Grammy-winning band, which features brothers Josh Kiszka (vocals), Jake Kiszka (guitar), and Sam Kiszka (bass/keyboards) and drummer Danny Wagner, says the effort represents “boys becoming men.”

Starcatcher was recorded at Nashville’s RCA Studios, where artists like Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, and Waylon Jennings cut their hits. GVF took its cues from the old-school methods.

“We learned from the old masters, the giants that walked the Earth,” says bassist Sam Kiszka. “A lot of the record is take No. 1 – the conception of the idea. This is definitely some of my favorite material and some of my favorite songs that we’ve written together. I think that our ability to work with each other just keeps becoming more and more elevated and that keeps evolving.”

As opposed to the more elaborate arrangements of The Battle at Garden’s Gate, Starcatcher takes the band back to their roots as a live act with more straight-ahead rock. Check out the track “The Indigo Streak”:

Starcatcher is available now on CD, vinyl and as a digital download (iTunes and Amazon MP3).
