Sire Announces the Marcus Miller V5 24 Bass

Sire Marcus Miller V5 24 5-string Burst

Sire has expanded its bass offerings with the Marcus Miller V5 24. Available in four and five-string models, the bass is a 24-fret vintage style bass with passive electronics. It has a deep cutaway to reach the full length of the fretboard, allowing for more ease in soloing and chording.

“This all-vintage bass has an all-vintage neck from the Satin finished roasted hard Maple material that gives an authentic vintage tone, look and feel with fretboard edges that are rolled for superior comfort and playability,” the company writes.

The V5 24 also features an alder body loaded with a set of Marcus Vintage-J Revolution pickups in a ’70s spacing. Being closer to the bridge gives a punchier sound, as found on Marcus Miller’s original Fender.

The Sire Marcus Miller V5 24 comes in three colors for each model. The four-string can be ordered in Mild Green, Natural, or Vintage White while the five-string comes in Mild Green, Tobacco Sunburst, or Dakota Red. Both models are coming soon with prices of $599 and $699.
