New Phil Lynott Book Coming This Fall
Thin Lizzy bassist and frontman Phil Lynott is the subject of a new photo book. Rufus Publications has announced Portraits of Phil Lynott will be released this November to celebrate the late rocker. The book begins with rare and unseen pictures from the early ‘70s and traces his career from Thin Lizzy to Grand Slam.
“The book features hundreds of classic and unseen, carefully restored, black and white images of Lynott at play and playing live on a series of stunning, unforgettable tours,” Rufus writes. “The book concentrates on the 70’s and finishes with the band at Live Aid in 1985. Contributing photographers include Fin Costello, Barry Plummer, PG Brunelli, Michael Putland and many more. This unofficial book is 230mm square, case-bound, 240 pages, printed on luxury 170gsm matt-coated paper. The book comes with a fold out poster and is presented in a black slipcase with a gold foil logo.”
The main edition of the book is limited to 666 numbered copies while an ultra-limited leather and metal edition will be limited to just 50 copies.
Portraits of Phil Lynott goes on sale July 31st with pre-orders getting a 10% discount when ordered before September 15th.
