Mammoth WVH Returns with “Mammoth II”

Mammoth WVH: Mammoth IIWolfgang Van Halen has unleashed the second album from his solo project, Mammoth WVH. The aptly titled Mammoth II sees the multi-instrumentalist expanding on the sound he created for his debut. That can be heard on the track “Another Celebration at the End of the World,” Van Halen explains.

“I knew that I wanted the new album to contain elements of what people heard on the debut, but also giving me a chance to branch out a bit. ‘Another Celebration At The End Of the World’ is definitely a song that showcases what people can expect from the new album,” he said. “It is a high-energy rocker with some fun guitar moments on it. I also pushed myself vocally and it is a song I can’t wait to get out and play live. I can see it being a fixture in our live set moving forward.”

While Van Halen records every part of the album on his own, his live band features bassist Ronnie Ficarro, who you can see in the video for the song:

Mammoth II is out now on CD, vinyl and as a digital download (iTunes and Amazon MP3). Mammoth WVH, including Ficarro, is currently on tour and heading out on a headlining tour this fall. See below for the full dates.
