ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd Announce “Sharp Dressed Simple Man” 2024 Tour Dates

ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd The Sharp Dressed Simple Man Tour

Southern rock and blues will be taking the nation by storm as ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd have announced a new set of dates for their co-headlining tour. The Sharp Dressed Simple Man Tour will kick off in March and cover most of the U.S. throughout the year with two legs.

The first show will be on March 8th in Savannah, Georgia. From there they will focus on the Southeast and Midwest, ending up in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 20th. After a four month break, things pick back up on August 9th in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. They’ll then hit the Northeast and some more Midwest before jumping to the West Coast for three more dates. The final show is slated for September 9th in Ridgefield, Washington.

Since Dusty Hill’s passing in 2021, ZZ Top has been completed by Elwood Francis, who Hill personally chose as his replacement. Lynyrd Skynyrd has been anchored by Keith Christopher since 2017.

Francis has been catching some attention for his comedic use of a 17-string bass. No word as to whether he’ll have the axe on the road with him next year.

Please bring more tour dates to the Northwest….Idaho preferably! Boise is a great area with many “traditional” venues like the Ford Idaho Center, Treefort Music Hall, and Boise State University. Additionally, there are many wineries and beautiful outdoor venues in the area.

We would go to one of the two concerts in Washington as we are from there before moving to Idaho 2 years ago, but on the dates we are out of the country. Oregon, Montana, or even Colorado would be doable.
