Ernie Ball Music Man Introduces Joe Dart III Bass

Ernie Ball Music Man has added a third iteration to the Joe Dart Artist Series Bass Collection, fittingly called the Joe Dart III. The bass takes a wholly new approach from the previous two and features a short 30-inch scale with a passive split-coil pickup. It does stick to the Vulfpeck bassist’s minimalist aesthetic with a velvet natural finish and a single volume control.
EBMM builds the Joe Dart III with a select ash body and a flamed maple neck. The pickup is custom-made for the bass and has Alnico 5 magnets. Other features include a custom Joe Dart Artist Series neck plate and a Mono Vertigo bag.
The Ernie Ball Music Man Joe Dart III Bass is initially limited to 50 units worldwide. At press time they had already sold out, so we’re hoping it follows suit and becomes a regular model.
