Obscura Publishes Transcription Book for “A Valediction”
Obscura has released a new book for bassists looking to conquer their latest album, A Valediction, through Sheet Happens Publishing. A Valediction: The Complete Bass Transcription is a 78-page note-for-note representation of the entire 2021 record.
A Valediction saw the return of six-string fretless bassist Jeroen Paul Thesseling to the Obscura lineup. The bass lines were performed by him for the record and transcribed for the book by Alex Weber, who has been the group’s touring bassist for the last two years. You can check out the gnarly bass parts performed by Weber in the live video for “Forsaken.”
The Complete Bass Transcription for A Valediction is available now as a “print-ready” PDF download (including Guitar Pro 7 files) while the printed version will be shipping March 15th. Both are available through Sheet Happens.
