Infectious Grooves, Featuring Robert Trujillo, Are Back in the Studio

Infectious Grooves in the Studio

The funk-metal outfit and Suicidal Tendencies offshoot Infectious Grooves recently announced they brought on ex-Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg and that they were gearing up for a tour of Australia. Now it looks like things are progressing even further as they’ve recorded new music.

On the Suicidal Tendencies Facebook page, a photo was posted from the studio with an update.

“Yesterday Infectious Grooves was back in the studio, recording a new track and we can’t wait for you to hear,” they wrote. e even got our old guitar player (and amazing artist) Adam Siegel out of “retirement” to help write this jam (not pictured due to having to leave early). Huge thanks to Tim Armstrong for always welcoming us into his studio and Joey Castillo for letting us use his drums. And damn, Jay Weinberg beat and grooved the hell out of them! Was so much fun watching him do his thing, and start everything off with a blast.”

Infectious Grooves is anchored by the mighty low end of Robert Trujillo, who was is the current bassist in Metallica and a former Suicidal Tendencies member. He co-founded the band with Mike Muir in 1989.

Weinberg posted some video from a band practice. Check it out here and see below for the group’s upcoming tour dates.
