NativeAudio Launches the Frybread Fuzz Pedal

Native Audio Frybread Fuzz Pedal

NativeAudio has added a new pedal to their lineup with the Frybread Fuzz. The transistor-based fuzz pedal pays tribute to company founder Mike Trombley’s native heritage.

“The Frybread Fuzz is a tribute to my Blackfeet (Amskaapi Piikuni) heritage and a tasteful dive into a traditional Native American bread,” Trombley writes. “Frybread is versatile bread made with a simple set of ingredients that can be enjoyed with honey, jelly, or as an Indian Taco by topping with chili and your favorite taco toppings. The Frybread Fuzz artwork features the dynamic duo, Stan the Pan and Frybread Man.”

The pedal is tuned to dish out mid-focused character with a vintage vibe, they write. It has three controls starting with Fry, which is a dual-purpose volume and filter control for maintaining tone across volume levels. Bread “slices the high-frequency content,” and the Fuzz knob is a dual-purpose gain and filter control for controlling the fuzz character.

Other features include an integrated pickup simulator that helps to keep a consistent fuzz sound regardless of its position in the signal chain and a smart switching system that has standard on/off latching and momentary operation.

You can hear the Frybread Fuzz on bass in this demo around the 8:23 mark.

The NativeAudio Frybread Fuzz is available now for $259.
