Mane KJ6 LA Edition Brings Lloyd Anderson’s Vision to a Six-String Bass

Mane Custom Bass KJ6 Lloyd Anderson Edition

Mane Custom Bass has expanded its bass lineup by introducing a collaboration with Boyz II Men bassist Lloyd Anderson II. The Mane KJ6 LA Edition is a six-string bass that it calls the next evolution of its foundational KJ series.

“This instrument bridges the gap between elite craftsmanship and professional performance,” Mane writes. “Building upon the ergonomic structure of the KJ5, the KJ6 LA Edition features a versatile three-pickup system paired with a proprietary Bartolini preamp, all while sporting Lloyd’s signature logo inlay at the center of the fretboard.”

The KJ6 LA Edition is built with a lightweight Swamp Ash body, a maple top, and a 35-inch-scale Roasted Maple neck. It features 18mm string spacing, and aside from Anderson’s logo, the maple fingerboard is inlaid with glow-in-the-dark dots for high visibility on stage. Other features include gold-finish Hipshot tuners and a matching bridge.

A native of Flint, Michigan, Anderson has been the full-time bassist for Boyz II Men since 2024. He’s now based in Las Vegas, Nevada and has worked with a diverse list of artists including the BB King All Stars Band, Martha Wash, Wu-Tang Clan, B. Slade, and more.

The Mane Custom Bass KJ6 LA Edition is available for order now. Visit the Mane Custom Bass website for more information.
