Sublime Releases New Single, Announces Summer Tour

For the past 15 years, original Sublime members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh have been performing with guitarist Rome Ramirez for a project aptly named Sublime With Rome. That band is winding down to a close with a farewell tour that will not include Gaugh and Wilson. Instead, they’ve returned to the O.G. Sublime format with the late Bradley Nowell’s son Jakob on vocals. The band has released a new single that marks Sublime’s first new music in 28 years.

“Feel Like That” features the Sublime rhythm section and vocal tracks by both Bradley and Jakob Nowell. It also has Scott Woodruff of Stick Figure supplying vocals and production to the track.

“This song came about in an organic way,” says Jakob Nowell. “My uncles and I always want to collab with artists in different modern music scenes. But hearing my own voice on a track side by side with my dads voice really feels like the classic Sublime sound stepping into the modern era. SoCal music is my family’s pride and joy and our family is getting bigger everyday. ‘Feel Like That’ captures this new sentiment and we want it to be the first of many. Who wants to join the family next?”

Bassist Wilson added, “It’s always great to hear Bradley’s voice, but having Jake’s voice on there makes it even sweeter.”

The single’s release comes just days before Sublime begins its festival circuit. They’ll appear in Virginia Beach at the Point Break Festival and crisscross the U.S. through September. They’ll also appear at the Closer To The Sun Festival in Riviera Maya, Mexico, in December.
