Spector Announces New Euro CST and Euro LX Basses
Spector’s Euro line of basses have some new additions with the Euro CST and Euro LX basses. Both lines are fitted with the all-new Spector Legacy preamp, which was developed with Darkglass Electronics.
“This preamp captures the classic ‘Spector growl,’ heard on countless iconic recordings, with added versatility,” the company states.
The Euro CST brings the company’s typical Custom Shop features to the Euro lineup including special tonewoods, electronics, and finish options. Each model is built with a figured poplar burl top, European Ash body, and a three-piece North American maple neck fitted with an ebony fingerboard. Of course, the frets are marked by Spector’s signature Abalone Crown inlays.
In addition to the Legacy preamp, Spector fits the Euro CST basses with a pair of active EMG X Series pickups and a lightweight aluminum bridge. They come in four and five-string models with four finishes: Natural, Natural Black Burst, Natural Red Burst, and Natural Violet Burst.
The Euro LX and Euro LX Bolt-On were inspired by the NS-2 bass and feature a fully carved and contoured body. Spector builds them with a European Alder body, a figured European Maple top, and a three-piece North American maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Similarly, they have a lightweight aluminum bridge and the Legacy preamp with active EMG pickups.

The Spector Euro CST and Euro LX have prices starting at $3,199 and $2,999, respectively.
