Positive Grid Announces the Spark 2 Practice Amp

Positive Grid has introduced the Spark 2, a new iteration of their practice amp and Bluetooth speaker designed for guitar and bass. The updated amp includes a new speaker design, enhanced amp models, a built-in creative looper, AI-powered tone exploration, and smart jam features.
“New HD amp models, enhanced by multi-band dynamic range compression and virtual bass augmentation, redefine the sonic landscape,” the company writes. “Equipped with two premium FRFR speakers and reflex ports, Spark 2 offers wide stereo imaging and broader frequency response, ensuring refined bass and clear, immersive sound.”
One of the more unique features is the AI-powered Tone and Smart Jam. The Spark AI lets you describe your desired tone – from “practical to outlandish,” they add – and it will suggest settings to audition or download. Similarly, Smart Jam listens to your playing to generate accompanying drum parts.
Other features include eight customizable presets, a headphone output, stereo line outputs, a USB-C port, WiFi, and more.
The Positive Grid Spark 2 comes in Pearl or Black finishes with a dark weave grille. It will be available for $299, but there will be special early-bird pre-order pricing.
