Jens Ritter just wrapped up exhibiting at Guitar Summit 2024 in Mannheim, Germany, where he showed off some spectacular instruments. One bass that caught our eye is an R8-Singlecut Concept model dubbed the “Sound of the Deep.”

Harley Benton has introduced the HB-50, a bass they describe as a “semi-acoustic body meets an archtop.” Inspired by designs of the 60s, the instrument comes in Cherry Red and Vintage Orange finishes.

Sixteen years after their last album, The Cure have announced the details of their next. “Songs of a Lost World” is slated for release on November 1st. The band has shared the first sounds of the album with “Alone.”

Cort has announced the GB-Fusion Bass series, which they say builds upon their GB-Modern series to be innovative yet affordably priced. The J-style bass comes in four- and five-string models and features a new pickup design.

Metallica is extending its M72 World Tour into 2025 with a new set of North American dates. The band will be supported by Pantera, Suicidal Tendencies, Limp Bizkit, and Ice Nine Kills.
