Anaconda Bass Guitars Unveils the Medusa MD5E-Elite Bass

Anaconda Bass Guitars has introduced a new model called the Medusa MD5E-Elite. The headless design aims to be highly versatile and ergonomic.
“Looking for one bass that does it all from 60’s and 70’s Jazz Bass tones to P Bass and Reverse P in a compact package that balances perfectly? Then this is the bass for you,” Anaconda writes.
The hand-built bass achieves those tones thanks to its Anaconda/Woodhead “Flexi-Pup” pickups, which are “Switchable 70’s J, 60’s J, Dual Coil J, P, and Reverse P.” Luthier Andrew Taylor-Cummings makes each bass to order. The first bass he built features a chambered figured Sapele body and a Pomelle Sapele top. Its neck and fingerboard are Birdseye Maple.
Hear the bass in action in the hands of Immanuel Simelane:
The Anaconda Bass Guitars Medusa MD5E-Elite has a starting price of around $3,620.
