Brubaker Guitars Introduces NBS Headless Bass Series with BOB Swappable Preamps
Brubaker Guitars has launched the NBS Headless Bass Series, a line of four- and five-string basses available in both 34-inch and 30-inch scales. The models were designed for a professional, flexible sound in a travel-friendly package. Central to their design is BOB swappable preamp technology.
“The NBS series features Brubaker’s exclusive BOB (Brubaker On-Board) swappable preamp system, offering six distinct preamps that can be interchanged in under 60 seconds,” the company shares. “Musicians can now effortlessly adapt their tone for any genre or playing environment with an unprecedented level of customization.”
Brubaker ships out each bass with the True Passive Module. Other BOB preamps feature circuits by Bartolini, DarkGlass, John East, Aguilar, and Nordstrand.
The headless design helps to make the NBS more compact than a standard bass while also contributing to weight reduction. Brubaker builds the line with an alder body, a spalted maple top, and Hipshot hardware as a standard. They offer various pickup options: J/J, P/J, or Humbucker.
Each NBS Headless bass is hand-numbered and signed by master luthier Kevin Brubaker.
