Joe Dart and The Fearless Flyers Bring High-Voltage Funk on “The Fearless Flyers V”
The Fearless Flyers are soaring back into action. The Vulfpeck spin-off band has announced a new album called The Fearless Flyers V that will be available a limited edition, hand-numbered vinyl EP.
“Born from the Vulfpeck orbit and powered by sheer musical joy, The Fearless Flyers have perfected their formula: tight rhythm section + dual guitar funk attack = dancefloor dynamite,” the announcement states. “This fifth release is a high-voltage blast of funk-jazz that delivers hit after hit – no frills, all groove.”
The Fearless Flyers consists of guitarists Cory Wong and Mark Lettieri, drummer Nate Smith, and bassist Joe Dart. Each member has killer precision to create airtight grooves. Wong has shared a taste of the upcoming record with a video for “Flyers Crusade,” which has some insane unison riffs.
The Fearless Flyers V is open to pre-orders through Diggers Factory, but only until June 6th. It is expected to ship in August.
