D’Addario Updates NYXL Line with New Option for Modern Bass Setups

D’Addario has expanded its line of bass strings with the new NYXL Multi-Scale Bass sets. These sets are designed for “fanned fret” five- and six-string basses with up to 37 inches. The company says the sets offer “tuning stability, break-resistant strength, and enhanced midrange presence.”
NYXL is D’Addario’s premium uncoated string line. Each string features an NY Steel core with a nickel-plated steel wrap wire that has a re-engineered core-to-wrap ratio. The five-string set has gauges of .045 to .130, while the six-string set adds a high .032 gauge string.
The D’Addario NYXL Multi-Scale Bass String Sets are now available for $44.99 for the five-string set and $49.99 for the six-string set.
