“Full of Thrash Vibes”: Soulfly Recruits Chase Bryant for 2025 Spirit Animal Tour

Mike Leon announced his departure from Soulfly in early April after a decade in the metal band’s roster. The band continued their planned performance in Mexico City on May 3rd with frontman Max Cavalera’s son Igor Amadeus Cavalera on bass, but now they’ve announced a touring member for their upcoming European trek.
Chase Bryant of Warbringer will be bringing his thunderous low end to the group’s dynamic as they take on The Old Continent. The news was shared on Soulfly’s Instagram with a statement by Cavalera.
“Welcome to the tribe Chase!” he wrote. “Chase will be playing bass for Soulfly on our ‘Spirit Animal’ Europe Tour 25! Chase is an amazing player, technical but also full of thrash vibes! Soulfly will play festivals like Graspop and Copenhell and we’ll go from Germany to Bulgaria dropping groove bombs everywhere!”
Get a taste of Bryant’s style with this playthrough of the Warbringer song “Heart of Darkness,” which features some great melodic and tapping lines along with straight-up thrash playing.
Soulfly’s European tour kicks off on June 7th in the Netherlands and will cover lots of ground before finally wrapping up on July 20th in France. See below for full tour dates.
