ProgJect Hits the Road in 2025 with New Vocalist and All-Star Prog Lineup

ProgJect

Prog fans assemble! ProgJect has announced a summer 2025 that will cover the West Coast of North America. Led by drummer Jonathan Mover, the all-star band performs songs by Frank Zappa, Asia, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Spock’s Beard, Alice Cooper, and more. New to the group is vocalist Alessandro Del Vecchio, whose four-plus octave range allows the band to expand to vocal hits by YES, Rush, Kansas, and more.

Mover and Del Vecchio will be joined by guitarists Mike Keneally and Travis Larson, keyboardist Ryo Okumoto, and bassist Pete Griffin. Griffin is well-versed in progressive music. He was an original member of Zappa Plays Zappa, not to mention his own solo work.

“Odd time signatures have always appealed to me,” he told us last year after releasing Pete Griffin and His Lab Rats. “I call my music fusion for the masses because it does have pretty bizarre time signatures and some solos, but it’s enclosed in a pop song format. It’s still verse, chorus, verse, bridge.”

Check out his phenomenal playing with the band from last year at Reggies in Chicago.

ProgJect’s summer tour will start on July 10th in Escondido, California and stay in the state for four shows. They’ll then head to a two-night run at The Triple Door in Seattle, Washington before jumping the border to play Vancouver, British Columbia. The final date is slated for July 19th in Yakima, Washington.
