Audiofab’s Frequency Distiller Delivers Alembic-Style Filters for Bassists

Audiofab Frequency Distiller

Audiofab has announced the Frequency Distiller, a dual state-variable filter pedal designed specifically for bass. The new pedal was inspired by the Alembic Super Filter (SF-2) and offers wide tonal capabilities with its two channels.

“Use Channel A on its own with a clean signal blend, or activate Channel B in parallel and blend both filters along with your clean tone,” Audiofab suggests. “The result is a highly customizable and musical EQ experience, ideal for studio, stage, or experimental setups.”

Each channel features four selectable filter types (low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, and notch) along with a variable cutoff/center frequency that ranges from 40 Hz to 6 kHz. Clean Mix knobs enable dialing in the amount of clean signal blended into the filter output. In A+B mode, it adjusts the level fed into channels A and B.

The Audiofab Frequency Distiller is out now with a direct price of $499 Canadian, or approximately $370 USD.

Recently I purchased a 2025 Rickenbacker 4003 JG stereo bass, and I want to forewarn any future buyers, they are the worst bass company operating on American soil! Customer service is virtually impossible to reach, calls are repeatedly routed to voice mail, they will sell your their shit and deliberately evade you! I paid over $31.00 to overnight mail my warranty card to them, I called twelve times(!!!) and each call went to voice mailbox! Finally after searching online I came upon thousands of other complaints very similar to mine, had I known this I would’ve never bought one! In one complaint I saw an extension, I tried it but it was a non-working one, so I randomly used ext. 228, it was the shipping dept, I left 3 voicemail, on the fourth I threatened to sue, I got a call back, the maggot that called admitted receiving my warranty card, said my bass was covered, however he refused to give me any proof that my bass was covered by their warranty! Then right in the middle of me speaking he yelled into the phone “Sue me in Court!!!”- he shall get his wish!!! So I’m telling future buyers beware, don’t waste thousands of dollars on their bass simply because it’s American made!!!
