Judas Priest’s Hellfest 2025 Set Brings Painkiller Power and Bass-Driven Fire

Judas Priest’s set at Hellfest 2025 is now streaming in full thanks to ARTE Concert and it’s a must-watch for metal fans. The band tore through a high-energy performance centered on their Painkiller era, celebrating the album’s 35th anniversary with a stacked setlist.

At the heart of it all was Ian Hill. While the front line brought the fire, Hill was the force holding it together. Playing his Spector NS-2 he delivered a crushing tone with surgical precision. His playing on “Night Crawler” and “A Touch of Evil” kept the band locked and driving forward. Newer tracks like “Gates of Hell” showed he’s not just riding on legacy. He’s still pushing.

This is the whole show but a couple favorites are You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’ and Hell Bent For Leather.  Hill rarely steps into the spotlight but his presence is undeniable. For five decades he’s been the foundation of Priest’s sound and this set is a clear reminder why.
