Watch: Tim Lefebvre Anchors “Feelin’ Alright” with Tedeschi Trucks Band & Leon Russell
Here’s a burner from the 2015 LOCKN’ Festival that just dropped on YouTube. Tedeschi Trucks Band digs into “Feelin’ Alright” and they’re not alone. Leon Russell joins in along with Dave Mason and Anders Osborne. It’s a full stage with even fuller sound.
Tim Lefebvre is on bass and he’s exactly where he needs to be. Heavy pocket. Rock solid and deep. It’s the kind of playing that makes a packed lineup feel like one tight unit. If you blink you might miss what he’s doing but you’ll feel it the whole time.
The vibe is a nod to Joe Cocker’s Mad Dogs & Englishmen and this crew nails it. Big band energy. Everybody cooking. And Tim keeping the floor steady.
This one’s fresh on YouTube and worth your time.
