Tim Lefebvre, Dan Rosenboom and Caleb Dolister Announce Experimental Album, “high.low”
Tim Lefebvre has teamed up with trumpeter Dan Rosenboom and drummer Caleb Dolister for a new project. The trio’s debut album, high.low, arrives November 6th and will feature a sound that reaches far beyond a simple three-piece band.
Lefebvre and Rosenboom utilize electronics to create huge soundscapes and tantalizing effects. Recorded live at The High Low in Los Angeles, the album moves through sections titled high, low and lower. The 12-track Bandcamp extended edition includes all three sections.
Hear the sci-fi-themed “low.2a,” featuring the trio’s killer chemistry. It begins with a brooding atmosphere, but Lefebvre shared that “about 7 minutes in, this builds up to a crazy apex.” Our favorite bits begin closer to the nine-minute mark, when Lefebvre takes the lead and explores the range of his bass with angular yet funky melodies and dissonant chords.
high.low will be released digitally on Novebmer 6th. It’s open to pre-order now on Bandcamp.
