Glockenklang Changes Hands After 50 Years: New Owner Promises to Continue Bass Amp Tradition

German bass amp manufacturer Glockenklang has changed hands. The news was shared on their Facebook, where new owner Gawan Linnemann introduced himself and his vision for the company.
“I would like to introduce myself today as the new owner of this wonderful, 50-year-old company. It is a great honor for me to continue the tradition, passion, and craftsmanship that made GLOCKENKLANG so special for half a century,” he wrote. “I would also like to take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude for the trust placed in me by the previous owner. I’m following in big footsteps and will do everything I can to maintain the brand’s heritage with respect and passion.”
Glockenklang is known for its high-fidelity bass amps, including the Soul, Blue Bird, and Steamhammer, as well as its array of bass cabinets. Linnemann, who is already in the audiophile game with his company Linnemann Akustik, says that’s not going to change.
“Our focus remains the same: We want to continue creating the heart of your sound. Quality, innovation, and characteristic bass sound that you love so much will continue to be our mission,” he states. “I look forward to sharing this exciting journey with you and writing the next chapters of the company’s history. Here’s to the next 50 years!”
According to their current website, Glockenklang is offering the Blue Bird and Steamhammer bass head units. (Linnemann has stated a new website is being built.) You can hear the sound of the Blue Bird in this demo by Bass Bonedo.
